Thiruvalla: The police have reported that the body of a young child discovered in a refuse dump near the Pulikeezhu boat jetty does not display any signs of physical injury. However, the exact cause of death has yet to be determined. Further information will be revealed as scientific examinations are completed.

The investigation is currently focusing on various aspects, including the analysis of CCTV footage, the records of girl babies who recently passed away during hospital treatment, and details of mothers who gave birth to girls in both private and government hospitals within the past six months. The lifeless body was discovered by an employee of a nearby glass shop at approximately 5:30 pm on Saturday. A plastic bag was found in close proximity to the body. Following the instructions of the district police chief, forensic tests were conducted on the same night.
