The victim, a 33-year-old woman from Johnstown, was promptly taken to Evangelical Community Hospital near Lewisburg, where she was sadly pronounced dead. The authorities, including the police and Coroner Dominck Adamo, have chosen not to disclose her identity. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when one of the tractors experienced a mechanical malfunction, according to state police.

Upon investigation, it was determined that an exhaust wheel within the turbo housing of the tractor became dislodged and forcefully ejected from the manifold and the vehicle’s metal covering. Tragically, a piece of the wheel struck the woman’s neck, causing the fatal injury. Lifesaving efforts were immediately initiated at the scene before she was transported to the hospital.

It is worth noting that there is no protective fencing around the track at the fairgrounds located along Route 235 just outside Laurelton, as confirmed by Boop. This unfortunate incident has highlighted the need for enhanced safety measures in such events. The fair, which concludes today, will hopefully serve as a reminder to prioritize safety precautions in the future.

In a separate matter, an online fundraiser has been initiated to support the family affected by a fatal crossover crash on I-81. Additionally, the final victim has been identified following a tragic bus crash on the same interstate in Dauphin County..
