The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning, following a collision between their Ford pickup truck and a Chevrolet pickup truck. It is reported that Mario Pichardo initiated a physical altercation with the other driver, a 38-year-old man from Marathon. In response, Damarys Pichardo retrieved a .380-caliber handgun and contacted emergency services. During the call, she made threats to kill the male victim. Although the handgun was heard clicking, it did not fire any rounds. Investigations revealed that the weapon had a loaded magazine, but no round was chambered at the time of the incident. Fortunately, there were no life-threatening injuries reported. Both Mario and Damarys Pichardo have been detained and taken into custody.
