Fatal Semi-Truck Crash

Tragic incidents like this can be prevented if drivers of heavily-loaded trucks adhere to traffic regulations.

According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), driver-related factors contributed to 34.7 percent of the 7,368 fatal semi-truck crashes recorded during a recent two-year period.

A multitude of factors can contribute to a tractor-trailer crash, including loss of control, tire blowouts, vehicle failures, excessive speed, lane drifting, improper maneuvering, and driver fatigue.

Candice Bond, an experienced attorney specializing in semi-truck crashes, emphasized that investigations into these accidents require extensive resources.

By representing the grieving family, an attorney can thoroughly investigate the accident scene, examine the rig and the trucking company’s records, such as logbooks, to preserve essential evidence.

“Tractor-trailer crashes are often complex, and multiple factors can play a role in these types of accidents,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal.

Wrongful Death Claim

Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the family of Christopher Scott Talley and Shannon Nickole Crawford may be entitled to file a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims can seek compensation for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a catastrophic accident like this.

“The stress and sorrow can be incredibly overwhelming after losing a loved one in an accident,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal.

“We understand the immense hardships that families face, and protecting their rights is of utmost importance. A wrongful death lawyer will remain updated on the official investigation and ensure that their legal rights and best interests are safeguarded.”
