The body-worn camera footage of a tragic shooting incident involving state troopers in Carroll County, Maryland has been released by the Maryland Attorney General’s Office. The incident occurred on June 3 when Maryland State Police troopers responded to a distress call regarding a suicidal man at a residence on Liberty Road in Eldersburg. Following an intense standoff with crisis negotiators that extended into the next morning, the man, identified as Jack Cimino Jr., a 52-year-old resident of Sykesville, approached the front door brandishing a dark object that he aimed towards the troopers. In response, the troopers discharged their firearms, fatally injuring Cimino. Upon investigation, a firearm was discovered at the scene. Cimino was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, while none of the troopers were harmed during the incident..
