The Toledo Police Department report states that a coworker informed the officers that his employee, identified as Kevin Murphy, had been residing at Torres’ home and was reported missing. Concerned, the coworker had gone to Torres’ residence to search for him.
Upon arrival, the police were met by the landlord of the apartment, who opened the door for them. As soon as the door was opened, the officers were hit with an overpowering stench. Inside the dwelling, they found Torres in one of the bedrooms, sitting on the bed. Despite their presence, she remained seated and only greeted them with a casual “hello.” The officers proceeded to discover a severely decomposed body in another bedroom.
The victim has not yet been identified by the police, nor have they disclosed any information regarding the cause of death. The Lucas County coroner’s office will work towards identifying the deceased and determining the circumstances surrounding their demise. The investigation into this case is still ongoing.
