Two people were killed in a crash in Laurens County, South Carolina. The accident occurred on SC 101 at Lakeview Road when a Ford Mustang and a Nissan Rouge collided. In Laurens County, South Carolina, a tragic collision claimed the lives of two individuals on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 6:49 p.m. at the intersection of SC 101 and Lakeview Road. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2006 Ford Mustang was heading north on SC 101, while a 2020 Nissan Rogue was traveling south on the same road, but in the northbound lanes.

In an attempt to avoid the Nissan, the Mustang’s driver veered left of the center line and then re-entered the southbound lane, ultimately resulting in a collision between the two vehicles. The driver of the Mustang was identified as Michael Brown Sr., a 68-year-old resident of Gray Court, as confirmed by the Laurens County Coroner’s Office. The driver of the Nissan Rogue was revealed to be Joseph Mitchel Barbrey, a 49-year-old from Gray Court.
