An 18-year-old girl in Ludhiana committed suicide after allegedly being harassed by a resident for marriage. The victim, Arpita, had refused the accused’s proposal and consumed poison on August 4. She was initially admitted to Ludhiana civil hospital but her health deteriorated, and she was taken to PGI in Chandigarh where she died.
