The detained individuals have been identified as Akbar Syed Bahadur Ali, a 23-year-old resident of Ashanala village, and Mohammad Ayaz, a 21-year-old from Hattikuni Cross near Yadgir. The Yadgir Rural police arrested the accused and have filed charges against them under IPC Section 153. Following the videos’ circulation on social media, Hindu organizations and activists demanded action from the Karnataka Police Department. Mohan Gowda, a prominent figure in the Hindu Jana Jagurthi Samithi, also called for Ali to be charged.
