Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the minister of internal affairs of Ukraine, shared the video on his page on X (formerly known as Twitter). He captioned the video stating that the flight was delayed for three hours because a passenger claimed to have seen three ghosts of Wagner mercenaries who were watching him. The crew was unable to calm him down, and eventually, the man was taken away by the police and brought to a psychiatric hospital.
The video was also shared on the Telegram channel of the Russian online publication Baza and has gained significant attention. Two other Russian publications, Telegram channel Mash and an online newspaper, also shared the video, accumulating hundreds of thousands of views. Both publications identified the man in the video as 39-year-old Vitaly and mentioned that he had no issues during check-in and boarding.
In the clip, the man can be heard urgently requesting the plane to stop the takeoff, claiming to see something. The publications noted that the man had a calm conversation with his mother before suddenly jumping up and running towards the flight attendants as the plane was preparing to take off.
The Telegram caption mentioned that the passenger demanded the takeoff to be stopped because he believed he was being pursued by three unidentified individuals from the Wagner Private Military Company. They described it as him being pursued by a phantom PMC. As a result, the flight was delayed for two hours, and the man was hospitalized with a preliminary diagnosis of schizophrenia.
