The events unfolded on Monday, July 31, at approximately 6:44 p.m. when authorities received a report of a shooting victim at the Walmart parking lot on West Shaw Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the wounded man inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Simultaneously, another report came in regarding a traffic accident on North Brawley Avenue involving a sedan and a small SUV.
