St. Joseph County, Michigan, authorities are currently investigating two potentially linked shooting incidents as they continue their search for the suspect. The Sturgis Department of Public Safety was alerted to a shooting incident involving a 39-year-old Sturgis woman on Saturday evening, and despite being rushed to the hospital, she tragically succumbed to her injuries. The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with local law enforcement to assist in the investigation, during which they identified David Algarin, Jr., a 30-year-old, as the primary suspect. In an attempt to locate Algarin, deputies proceeded to a residence just beyond the city limits, near Carls Road on US-12. Unfortunately, they discovered another victim, a 61-year-old man, who had also been shot and killed. The authorities strongly believe that these two incidents are connected. Algarin is reported to have fled the scene in a black 1999 Honda CR-V with Michigan license plate BUS661. Any information pertaining to these homicides or Algarin’s whereabouts should be promptly relayed to Detective David Males at the Sturgis Department of Public Safety or St. Joseph County Central Dispatch..
