The local coroner reported that they were called to Burgess School Road at Highway 418 in Pelzer shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered a victim who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Unfortunately, the victim, identified as 22-year-old Dorothy Cannon from Simpsonville, South Carolina, was pronounced dead at the scene.
