A 19-year-old victim has been identified in a deadly shooting on U Street in Northwest D.C. A Maryland man, David Botchway, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder for his alleged involvement in the shooting. A Maryland man named David Botchway has been apprehended and charged with first-degree murder for his alleged involvement in a fatal shooting on U Street in Northwest D.C. early Saturday morning. Police officers, who were already in the vicinity of the 1200 block of U Street, heard gunshots and quickly responded to the scene. They discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds, and despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, the victim was pronounced dead. The body was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further examination. Later that day, Botchway was arrested and charged with murder. In unrelated news, a concerning species called hammerhead worms, known for their carnivorous nature and production of a paralyzing toxin similar to that found in puffer fish, has been found in the DMV area. It is strongly advised not to touch these worms. Several of them were recently observed at a residence in northern Virginia..
