BLUEWELL — The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on July 31. The shooting took place near Lynn’s Drive-Inn in Bluewell, and the victim, identified as Arrien Porterfield, was found dead at the scene. Detective-Lieutenant S.A. Sommers stated that video surveillance footage is being analyzed and witnesses are being interviewed as part of the investigation.
