A murder charge has been filed in connection with a fatal shooting in an East Nashville apartment. The victim, identified as Eric Reed, was shot while 29-year-old Sanchez Donovann Ballard was visiting the apartment. Ballard has been charged with Reed’s murder, and police are currently searching for a possible second suspect. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – An individual has been arrested and charged with murder in relation to a fatal shooting that took place in an apartment in East Nashville. The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 1, at approximately 10:20 a.m. on South Fifth Street.

The victim, identified as Eric Reed, aged 29, was shot while inside the apartment. The perpetrator, Sanchez Donovann Ballard, also 29 years old, was visiting the location at the time of the shooting. Ballard has subsequently been charged with the murder of Reed. Law enforcement is currently in pursuit of a potential second suspect.

As part of the investigation, the Metropolitan Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the two individuals involved to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 in homicide cases.
