According to the state crash report, the motorbike, driven by Joshua James Franzwa, 32, from Winona, was traveling north on Hwy. 61 when it collided with a large pick-up truck heading in the same direction. The impact caused the motorbike to veer into the central reservation and overturn. Franzwa was subsequently taken to Winona hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The pick-up truck driver, identified as Barry G Will, 31, from Boulder Junction, WI, was unharmed. The crash report confirms that Franzwa was wearing a helmet and that alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
