The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the tragic shooting of a woman in Wagram. On July 28, authorities were called to Hillcreek Road after receiving reports of a possible shooting. They discovered the lifeless body of Kayla Hodges, a 30-year-old woman who had been shot. Despite their efforts, she could not be saved.

During their investigation, detectives uncovered that two masked men armed with guns had entered the residence and demanded something from the occupants, using the phrase “Give it up, you know what this is.” Tragically, Hodges was shot and killed during this incident.

The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office is now seeking the public’s assistance in obtaining any information related to the case. In particular, they are asking residents of Hillcreek Road who have surveillance cameras to review their footage between the hours of 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on the day of the incident.
