A Sanford man is facing charges of first-degree premeditated murder after allegedly chasing and shooting another man in the back. Kadeem Fisher has been accused of shooting and killing Phillip Martin at the Vista Haven Apartment on Patton Terrace in November. According to investigators, Fisher and Martin had an ongoing dispute, which led to the fatal encounter.
Deputies from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident after receiving reports of gunshots at the apartment complex. Upon arrival, they discovered blood and shell casings, indicating a violent altercation had taken place. Following a trail of blood, deputies found Martin’s lifeless body inside his residence. It was determined that Fisher had chased Martin and shot him multiple times before he managed to reach his apartment, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Fisher was apprehended by authorities and charged with first-degree premeditated murder. The arrest brings some closure to the tragic incident that occurred in November. The Seminole County community can now rest assured that justice is being served.
