Chetan Singh, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, has shocked the nation by shooting dead four people, including his senior officer ASI Tika Ram Meena, on the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express on Monday. The victims were identified as Syed Saifullah, Abdul Qadir Mohammad, and Asgar Sheikh, three of whom were innocent passengers onboard the train.

Tragedy Strikes Syed Saifullah’s Family

Syed Saifullah, one of Constable Chetan Singh’s victims, leaves behind three daughters, the youngest being just six months old. He worked at a mobile shop in Hyderabad and was returning from Ajmer after visiting the Ajmer Sharif Dargah. Syed was traveling back to Hyderabad via Mumbai when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Asgar Sheikh’s Quest for Better Opportunities Cut Short

Asgar Sheikh, hailing from Bihar’s Madhubani district, was headed to Mumbai to explore work opportunities. Dissatisfied with his current income as a bangle maker in Jaipur, Asgar decided to seek better prospects in the city. However, his dreams were shattered when Constable Chetan Singh fatally shot him on the moving train between Palghar and Dahisar in Maharashtra.

Abdul Qadir Mohammad’s Journey Ends Tragically

Abdul Qadir Mohammad, a businessman residing in Maharashtra’s Nala Sopara, had plans to visit his native village, Bhanupur, for Muharram. Although his family had gone to Dubai, Abdul faced document verification issues and couldn’t join them. Unfortunately, he met his untimely demise when Chetan Singh shot him on the train destined for Mumbai.

Constable Chetan Singh’s Rampage

After shooting his superior, ASI Tika Ram Meena, on the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express, Constable Chetan Singh proceeded to another coach and gunned down three innocent passengers. However, quick-thinking passengers pulled the emergency chain, bringing the train to a halt near Mira Road station. Chetan Singh was apprehended by authorities while attempting to flee. Police are currently gathering statements from witnesses and officials involved in the incident.
