A man has been arrested in Georgia in connection with the murder of a woman in Fayetteville. Adrian Rodriguez, 31, was taken into custody and is awaiting extradition to Arkansas. The Fayetteville Police Department and Bibb County sheriff’s office worked together on the investigation. Rodriguez was identified as an acquaintance of the victim, Brenda Madriles. Fayetteville police responded to Rodriguez’s residence at 10:21 a.m. on Saturday after Madriles’ family reported her missing since Thursday. Rodriguez was identified as an acquaintance of the victim. The residence, located at 3973 N. Park Oaks Drive, is listed in the Bibb County jail records.
Upon investigating Madriles’ disappearance, authorities obtained a search warrant for Rodriguez’s home. Tragically, officers discovered Madriles’ lifeless body during the search. The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of her death.
An extensive investigation involving Fayetteville and Springdale police, as well as law enforcement agencies in Georgia, led to the location and arrest of Rodriguez.
