Former “Bachelorette” Gabby Windey Announces New Relationship with Writer and Comedian Robby Hoffman

Former “Bachelorette” Gabby Windey has recently revealed her new relationship. The Colorado-based ICU nurse, who gained fame from her appearance on season 19 of the ABC dating show, took to Instagram on August 2 to announce that she is dating writer and comedian Robby Hoffman.

In an Instagram post, Windey shared a carousel of photos showing the couple kissing and hugging. Alongside the pictures, she playfully captioned, “Told you I’m a girls girl!!”

Windey’s announcement received an outpouring of support from several Bachelor Nation stars, including her former co-star Rachel Recchia. Recchia commented, “Love you with my entire heart and soul,” adding several heart emojis. Kaitlyn Bristowe, a former “Bachelorette,” wrote, “Needed this love story!!” Meanwhile, former “Bachelor” Ben Higgins congratulated Windey, stating, “Well son of a biscuit this is real beautiful. Congrats Gabby.”

Shortly before her Instagram post, Windey appeared on “The View” on August 2, where she publicly announced that she was “dating a girl.” In a subsequent selfie video posted to her Instagram story, she shared more details about her budding romance with Hoffman.

Amid her excitement, Windey expressed, “You know I love to stir the pot and tease, but I did want to wait until I was ready because it is a larger conversation because I’m dating a girl.” She continued, “It’s been honestly, truly, really the best experience over these last three months. I’ve been in a relationship like I feel like I’ve never had before.”

Windey concluded her video by stating, “I wanted to tell you guys because I always just want to live my life honestly and have you all along with me.” She then shared a photo of herself and Hoffman kissing while embracing in a chair.

Hoffman, who had already publicly identified as queer, humorously re-shared the photo on her own Instagram story and jokingly wrote, “Guys some news … I am gay.”

In a 2020 interview with the Jewish Journal, Hoffman spoke about her upbringing in a strict Hasidic Jewish home and the difficulties she faced as a gay person in her Jewish school. Although she distanced herself from Judaism, Hoffman expressed that she still identifies as “very Jewish and very gay” and incorporates her religious background into her standup routines.

As a writer and comedian, Hoffman is currently developing a comedy called “Rivkah,” inspired by her own life, for Showtime. She also achieved recognition for her work on the PBS children’s show “Odd Squad,” winning a Daytime Emmy Award in 2019.

It’s heartwarming to see Gabby Windey embracing her new love with Robby Hoffman, and their relationship serves as an inspiration for others to live their lives honestly and authentically.
