Body of Missing Youth Believed to be Found in Nova Scotia

Authorities in Nova Scotia announced on Wednesday that they have located what they believe to be the body of a youth who had been missing since July 22 during a severe storm. Nova Scotia RCMP made the discovery along the shore in Advocate Harbour, about 70 kilometers northwest of the area where the youth and three others went missing in floodwaters. The province’s medical examiner is now working to positively identify the remains.

Tragically, last week, searchers recovered the bodies of two six-year-old children, Natalie Hazel Harnish and Colton Sisco, as well as 52-year-old Nicholas Holland, who was traveling with the missing youth. Premier Tim Houston expressed his gratitude to the RCMP and other first responders for their efforts in searching for the missing individuals. He extended his sincere condolences to the families affected by the devastating floods.

The severe flooding, caused by a series of thunderstorms, resulted in significant damage to roads and bridges across the province. Provincial officials are currently assessing the full extent of the damage. Funeral services have already been held for the two young children, Natalie and Colton, who were described as vibrant and full of life.
