Contact with the aircraft was lost around 9:30 p.m., and the party was reported overdue to the RCMP. The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre and other emergency services were deployed to search for the aircraft. The pilot and all five passengers were tragically pronounced dead at the crash site on Mount McGillivray. The victims have been identified as members of the Calgary church community.
