PUTNAM COUNTY, Georgia – In a devastating accident that occurred early Tuesday morning, five lives were tragically lost, including two young children. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the heartbreaking news.
The incident took place on US Hwy 141 at approximately 12:45 a.m. Hailey Brook Hayes, 22, was driving in the wrong direction when her vehicle collided head-on with Mayla Dostie, 44, who was on her way home from work. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, along with three other passengers who were traveling with Hayes.
The deceased passengers have been identified as Zaleigh Adaya Brooks, 23, Tucker Hudspeth, an 8-month-old infant, and Bentley Barlow, a 3-year-old child. The shocking loss of these innocent lives has left the community in mourning.
