Camden shooting Victim Identified as Freddy Alfonso

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office has identified the victim of a recent shooting in Camden as Freddy Alfonso. According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez, officers from the Camden County Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation at around 12:34 a.m. on Tuesday. The incident took place in the 1600 block of Pulaski Street in Camden.

Upon arrival, police discovered Alfonso suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:36 a.m., according to the prosecutor. The investigation into the shooting is currently active and ongoing.
