Police Identify Victim in Fatal shooting at Arby’s in Union, Missouri

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that took place on Sunday evening in Union, Missouri. The Union Police Department confirmed that Ronnie Wayne Sanford, a resident of Union, was the man who died as a result of the incident.

The shooting occurred following a disturbance that took place at the Arby’s located at 1535 Denmark Road. According to the manager of the fast-food restaurant, an argument broke out among several individuals inside the store, which then escalated and continued outside the building. By the time the police arrived at the scene, all parties involved in the altercation had left the premises.

However, while officers were interviewing witnesses, one woman received a phone call from her husband confessing to shooting a man. Law enforcement promptly left the Arby’s and proceeded to the location where the shooting had taken place. They discovered Sanford, 49, lying on the ground near the intersection of Old Highway 50 E and Highway 50 with a gunshot wound. Sanford was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Antoine Brown from Union, was apprehended at the scene of the shooting. Brown now faces charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He is currently being held on a no-bond warrant.
