Tragic Motorbike accident Claims Life of Cambodian Construction Worker

In a tragic incident, two Cambodian construction workers were involved in a devastating motorbike accident when their vehicle collided with an electricity pole while en route to a nearby shop. The incident occurred on a winding road in the coastal Prachuap Khiri Khan province around 1 am on Thursday, resulting in the death of one worker and leaving another injured.

Local authorities reported that the mishap took place on a rural stretch of road between Ban Pho Rieng and Thung Noy villages. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered a Honda Click motorcycle, registered under plate number 2KY9910 Chon Buri, collapsed against a streetlight.

Tragically, one of the workers, identified as Seena, a 32-year-old Cambodian national, was found lifeless on the ground. He was dressed in a t-shirt and dark shorts. The other construction worker sustained minor injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital by rescue workers.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the two individuals were traveling at high speed on the motorbike, with Seena behind the wheel. Unfortunately, they misjudged the curved road, causing their vehicle to lose control and collide with the streetlight. As a result, Seena became trapped against the pole and tragically lost his life. His companion, however, was thrown clear of the pole and suffered only minor injuries, according to KhaoSod.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and exercising caution while on the road. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
