Two Men Arrested in San Rafael Brawl, Charged with Assault

San Rafael, CA – Two men were arrested on Friday night after being identified as the main aggressors in a brawl that took place on Winward Way. The San Rafael Police Department received multiple calls about the fight, which involved at least 14 individuals.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered one injured man and apprehended two others, who were later arrested. The suspects have been identified as 33-year-old Joselito Miguel Vasquez and 21-year-old Selvin Alvarado Vasquez. Joselito Vasquez has been charged with felony assault with a knife, while Selvin Vasquez faces misdemeanor assault and battery charges.

The injured man, believed to have been struck in the face with a knife sheath, was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

According to investigators, the altercation began when a group of individuals gathered and started consuming alcohol. The situation escalated into a violent fight following an argument.
