Despite not having a fight scheduled at the moment, McGregor is expected to face off against Michael Chandler in his next bout. However, the Irishman has hinted that he is open to a redirection if the opportunity arises. In a series of tweets, McGregor made his intentions clear.
One tweet read, “‘I’ll slap you around’ Justin, I’ll slap you around.” Another tweet took aim at Chandler, stating, “I’m the real BMF, he can fight for pennies if he wants but I want spirits. I call the shots, I’m in it to launch shots. Fuck Chandler, you want it, call for it.”
McGregor, known for his witty banter and ability to stir up controversy, also tweeted in Irish, stating, “BMF Is mise bad mother fucker conas atá tú,” which translates to “BMF I am a bad mother fucker, how are you?”
While McGregor appeared entertained by the idea of a potential matchup, Gaethje seemed less enthusiastic. During a post-fight news conference, Gaethje revealed, “I think he’s turned me down six times. Usually, you have to lose to fight him, so I don’t know what’s going on.”
