Discovery of Ratcliff’s Whereabouts in Maine
Through a collaborative investigation, authorities were able to gather information pointing to Ratcliff’s presence in Bangor. Task Force members identified him as a passenger in a motor vehicle near the Bangor Mall area on Thursday, July 27th. He was apprehended peacefully.
Charges Against Ratcliff
Ratcliff had arrest warrants issued against him by Harrison County, Texas for various charges, including first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The warrants were issued on July 21st following a shooting incident on the 4th of July, where Jeremy Vick was fatally injured. Ratcliff fled the scene in a dark SUV, which was later identified as his vehicle. Vick succumbed to his injuries in the hospital at a later time.
In addition to the aforementioned charges, Ratcliff is now also facing charges as a fugitive from justice. He will be arraigned in Maine and awaits extradition back to Texas to face trial.
