Authorities have identified the deceased victim in a shooting incident that took place in Eastover, North Carolina over the weekend. The victim, Nick Grady, 40, tragically lost his life on Saturday, July 22, 2023, after gunshots were fired during a dispute outside a convenience store. Grady, a resident of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was one of four individuals injured in the incident.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office released an initial statement on their Facebook page, providing details of the incident. According to the statement, deputies responded to a physical disturbance at 4001 Pembroke Lane in Eastover. The altercation escalated, resulting in four individuals being shot. Sadly, one of the victims, whose identity is being withheld, succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
Authorities have stated that this shooting does not appear to be a random incident, indicating that there may have been prior disputes or conflicts involved. The investigation is ongoing, and additional information will be shared with the public as it becomes available.
