Two individuals were killed in the crash, while another sustained life-threatening injuries. The report also provided a timeline of events leading up to the accident, including a high-speed pursuit and the deployment of road spikes. Witnesses recorded the accident, and it was determined that the vehicle never hit the stop sticks. Driver Under the Influence Causes Fatal accident in Yankton

The Yankton County Sheriff’s Office released toxicology results on Thursday, revealing that the driver involved in a fatal accident in May was under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine at the time. The accident, which occurred on the east edge of Yankton, resulted in the deaths of Anna Selwyn, 27, and Gabriel Ortega, 26, both residents of Sioux City, Iowa. A third occupant, a 23-year-old female also from Sioux City, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
