In the first incident near Hanuman Temple, Nandanvan Police Station, a heart-wrenching fratricide left the local community in shock. The victim, identified as Mona, also known as Khushi Kiran Choudhary, was a 38-year-old woman suffering from a mental illness. Her own brother, Suraj, also known as Balya Laxman Rakshak, aged fifty and a resident of Padole Nagar, Nandanvan, stands accused of committing the heinous crime. The community is devastated by this tragic event, as Mona’s family had been striving to provide her with the best care and treatment.

Suraj had been diligently looking after his sister during her treatment, but unfortunately, Mona’s mental health had been deteriorating gradually, despite his efforts. Preliminary investigations suggest that the burden of caring for his sister’s declining condition took a toll on Suraj. The mounting frustration allegedly led to a horrifying outburst, resulting in a brutal attack on Mona, tragically ending her life.

In the second incident reported from Jaripatka Police Station, a minor boy reportedly killed a rag picker using a sword. The police have registered murder cases in both incidents and have apprehended the accused at the respective police stations. The investigations are currently ongoing.
