According to reports from the Associated Press, three U.S. Marines were tragically found unresponsive in a vehicle at a gas station in Hampstead, North Carolina. It has been determined by autopsies conducted by the North Carolina medical examiner’s office that the cause of death for all three men was carbon monoxide poisoning. The Pender County Sheriff’s Office, who discovered the men, stated that the incident appears to be accidental. The lance corporals have been identified as 19-year-old Tanner J. Kaltenberg and 23-year-olds Merax C. Dockery and Ivan R. Garcia.
