“Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting of Gregory Robertson; More Arrests Expected”

Gregory Robertson, a 40-year-old man from Fredericksburg, Virginia, was identified as the homicide victim in a shooting at the Bunker Social Club in Waterbury. German Pena-Lopez, 34, was arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with various offenses. Two other shooting victims arrived at the hospital in stable condition. The owner of the social club, Andrew Dennis, is also wanted on charges of reckless endangerment and operating an unlicensed bar. A shooting incident at the Bunker Social Club in Waterbury, Connecticut has left one man dead and two others injured. The victim has been identified as Gregory Robertson, a 40-year-old man from Fredericksburg, Virginia. German Pena-Lopez, a 34-year-old resident of Waterbury, has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Police were alerted to the incident in the early hours of July 16 when officers patrolling the area were informed of a large gathering outside the club. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered Robertson inside the club, where he was pronounced dead. Two other men arrived at Saint Mary’s Hospital with gunshot wounds and are said to be in stable condition.

German Pena-Lopez has been charged with several offenses, including illegal possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, carrying a pistol without a permit, first-degree threatening, and illegal transfer or sale of a firearm. He is being held on a $1 million bond pending arraignment.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for Andrew Dennis, the owner of the social club. He is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and operation of an unlicensed bar. The Waterbury Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
