“36-year-old Wild Rose man injured in suspected alcohol-related motorcycle crash”

A single motorcycle crash occurred on State 23 in the town of Forest, Fond du Lac County, shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls reporting the incident. Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found that the motorcyclist, a 36-year-old Wild Rose man, had sustained significant injuries. He was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah for treatment.

The investigation conducted by the sheriff’s office revealed that the motorcyclist was traveling west on State 23 when he veered onto the gravel median shoulder. He lost control on the shoulder and went down into the median, ultimately being thrown from his motorcycle. Notably, he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Authorities suspect that speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. As a result, the motorcyclist was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated. However, his identity has not been released.

The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the crash to gather more details about the incident. They urge anyone with additional information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
