“Monroe Man Killed in London Township Motorcycle Crash”

A tragic accident in London Township claimed the life of a Monroe man who was riding his motorcycle. The victim, identified as Roland A. Laura III, was riding a 2003 Honda Shadow motorcycle on Plank Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. As a result, he entered a ditch on the west side of the road and struck an embankment. Laura was thrown from the motorcycle, which came to rest in a private driveway on Plank Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene, and Laura was transported to Trinity Health Hospital in Ypsilanti, where he was pronounced dead from the injuries sustained in the accident. It was reported that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
