One Person in Custody in Connection to Homicide of 65-Year-Old Man in Cass County, Missouri

The Cass County Sheriff’s office has announced that they have taken one person into custody in connection to the homicide of a 65-year-old man in rural Freeman and Lake Annette, Missouri. The incident occurred on Sunday night when deputies were called to Lakeview Drive on a reported shooting.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found a man who was attempting to perform life-saving measures on a shooting victim. Unfortunately, the victim, identified as Edward Demoussett, was declared dead by emergency medical personnel. It is unclear at this time if the person seen performing life-saving measures is the same person who has been taken into custody.
