The body of Ashley Real was found in Clackamas County in May, and it has now come to light that she had accused Jesse Calhoun of domestic violence just months before her death. According to the Willamette Week newspaper, Real filed an allegation of domestic violence against Calhoun in November of the previous year.

Real’s remains were discovered by deputies in a heavily wooded area near Eagle Creek. She had last been seen in late March, and a missing person report was filed with the Portland police in April. Authorities are not releasing the domestic violence report due to the ongoing death investigation.

Calhoun is considered a person of interest in the deaths of four women, including Real. However, he has not been charged with any crimes connected to their deaths, and police have not officially identified him as the person of interest. Calhoun is currently back in prison after being arrested in early June on unrelated parole violation charges.

Court documents dating back to 2007 reveal Calhoun’s previous criminal history. A former girlfriend claimed that he had grabbed her by the throat and punched her repeatedly in the head and arm. Another incident involved him pulling her off a bike and dragging her across a parking lot. More recently, Calhoun is accused of threatening the father of another girlfriend’s children, as detailed in a stalking protective order filed in May 2022.

The case involving Real’s death and the other women remains under investigation. Calhoun’s history of escalating violence raises concerns about the safety of others who may have been involved with him. The community and authorities are working together to uncover the truth and hold those responsible accountable for their actions..
