Three individuals, including one juvenile, have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Denver apartment complex that occurred in May. The incident took place at an apartment complex on Girard Avenue, and responding officers discovered two men and one woman with gunshot wounds. All three victims were transported to the hospital, but one of the men, identified as Rodney Jackson, sadly succumbed to his injuries.
In addition to the three victims found at the scene, two more individuals were taken to the hospital by private vehicle, bringing the total number of victims to five. Investigators have determined that the shooting stemmed from a “brief altercation” that escalated into a firefight.

The Denver Police Department announced the arrest of Richard Kemp, aged 25, Jasmine Marin, aged 30, and a juvenile in connection with the shooting. Kemp is facing charges of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder, while Marin is being held for investigation of accessory to a crime for first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. The juvenile is also being held for investigation of first-degree murder.
The final determination on charges will be made by the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
