The Butte County authorities have recovered the body of a 13-year-old boy who was shot dead and dumped in a field in Oroville. The investigation has led to the arrest of another youth in connection with the child’s killing.
The Oroville police made the discovery of signs of a deadly shooting inside an abandoned stolen vehicle. This led the Butte County sheriff’s detectives to a field near the intersection of 18th Street and Tehama Avenue in Oroville, where they found the body of Amadeus Miller-Ramos, 13. The authorities believe that Miller-Ramos was shot inside the vehicle and his body was subsequently dropped into the field. It is suspected that four juveniles, including Miller-Ramos, were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident. One of the youths was handling a gun, which accidentally went off and resulted in the fatal shot that killed the 13-year-old.
