“Paducah Man Killed in Head-On Collision with Truck on Krebs Station Road”

A tragic accident occurred in Paducah, Kentucky on Tuesday, resulting in the death of a local man. The incident took place on Krebs Station Road when a motorcycle and a truck collided head-on, claiming the life of the motorcyclist.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, a 2022 Ram 5500 tank truck was traveling westbound on Krebs Station Road when it veered into the eastbound lane to overtake a stopped trash collection truck. At approximately 8:06 a.m., the truck collided with a 2008 Honda motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, identified as Todd Ligon, a 32-year-old resident of Paducah, was pronounced dead at the scene. The tragic incident left the community in shock and mourning the loss of a fellow resident.

In response to the accident, Krebs Station Road was temporarily closed for about three hours to facilitate the investigation. Multiple agencies, including Mercy Regional EMS, the Hendron Fire Department, Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, the McCracken County Emergency Management Office, and the McCracken County Coroner Amanda Melton, provided assistance at the crash site.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident to determine the cause and any potential factors that may have contributed to the collision.
