“Manhunt underway for suspect in South Boston shooting death”

The South Boston Police Department is currently on the lookout for a man they believe is responsible for a shooting that resulted in the death of another man on July 16th. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning around 3:38 am near the Willow Oaks Apartment Complex. Authorities received a report of possible gunshots in the area and upon arrival, evidence consistent with gunshots was found near the rear parking area.

The victim, identified as 25-year-old Quaheim Chandler, later arrived at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital with a single gunshot wound. Unfortunately, Chandler succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Further investigation revealed that Chandler and Javante Jordan were involved in an altercation which led to the shooting. Jordan allegedly fired multiple shots at Chandler, with one of them striking him in the upper torso.

The South Boston Police Department has obtained arrest warrants for Jordan on charges of 2nd-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Jordan is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the police department.
