“Arrest Made in Union City Shooting, Victim Recovering”

The Union City Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in connection to a shooting that occurred on Tuesday morning. The incident took place in the area of 12th Street and G Street, and officers responded to a report of a shooting at around 11:08 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a man who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was immediately taken to a local hospital by paramedics for treatment.

According to the Union City Police Department, the suspect was still in the vicinity at the time of their arrival. The individual was swiftly apprehended and identified as Joseph Davis, a 41-year-old resident of Union City. During a search of the scene, authorities were able to recover a gun and ammunition.

Davis has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, as well as being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He has since been booked into Santa Rita County Jail to await further legal proceedings.
