A tragic incident occurred in Butte County, California, as a juvenile suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide investigation. On Tuesday, the Oroville Police Department discovered an abandoned stolen vehicle, and evidence found inside led detectives to believe a shooting had taken place within it.

The police received information that a passenger in the vehicle had been killed, and his body was found in a nearby field. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office was immediately contacted and began their investigation. Detectives from the sheriff’s office found the lifeless body of a 13-year-old victim, identified as Amadeus Miller-Ramos, in a field near the intersection of 18th Street and Tehama Avenue in Oroville.

Further investigation revealed that four juveniles were present in the vehicle at the time of the incident. One of the juveniles was handling a firearm, which accidentally discharged, resulting in the fatal shooting of Miller-Ramos. The other juveniles then placed his body in the field.

On July 18, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office arrested the juvenile responsible for the shooting, who was subsequently booked at the Butte County Juvenile Hall. Due to the suspect’s status as a juvenile, his identity is being withheld.
