One of the victims, 22-year-old Javan Runnels, was a star athlete and a dedicated student. He had received several scholarships and was signed by the Arizona Rattlers arena football team. Javan’s mother, Lisa Campbell, described her son as full of life and always happy. Unfortunately, Javan was injured during training camp and was unable to play, but he had recently become interested in Amway and wanted to build a career around it.

Another victim, 19-year-old Cerra Corner, was Javan’s girlfriend. Cerra was an athlete herself and even became Homecoming Queen during her senior year of high school. Her sister, Mersadies Vanlier, remembered Cerra as someone full of energy, always smiling, and making others laugh. Cerra had briefly attended Arizona State University before deciding to make a change.

25-year-old Erick Tsosie, a father and Marine, was also among the victims. Erick had served in the Marines for four years before returning home and had a passion for helping others. He had a two-year-old son and aspired to become an entrepreneur, which is why he attended the Amway convention in Tacoma.

The families of the victims have created GoFundMe campaigns to raise money for the return of their loved ones’ bodies to Arizona. The tragic car crash has left the families in shock and mourning the lives cut short far too soon..
