“74-Year-Old Calvert County Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident”

A 74-year-old man was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident in Lothian, Maryland. The victim, Aubrey Lee Wallace, was walking on northbound Route 4 near Lower Pindell Road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The pedestrian was found lying on the road by a passerby who called 911. Unfortunately, Wallace was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section is currently investigating the incident. They have determined that Wallace was walking in the travel lane when he was hit, but it is unclear how long he had been in the roadway before being discovered. The striking vehicle fled the scene but was later found unoccupied by the Prince George’s County Police Department. The driver, a 22-year-old from Landover, was located by police.
