“Two Drivers Killed in Barrigada Crash: Victim Identified as Gilbert James Charfauros”

A tragic traffic accident occurred in Barrigada, Guam, resulting in the deaths of two drivers. One of the victims has been identified as Gilbert James Charfauros, a 59-year-old individual. The Guam Police Department has provided this information through their spokesperson, Officer Berlyn Savella.

The incident took place early Sunday morning when Charfauros was driving a silver sedan on the inner lane of Route 10 near Leyang Road. At that moment, a red sedan traveling southbound veered into Charfauros’ lane and collided with his car. The collision was severe enough to require the assistance of firefighters, who were already on the scene when the police arrived at 2:41 a.m.

Unfortunately, the driver of the red sedan was pronounced dead at Guam Memorial Hospital. As of now, their identity remains unknown, pending the location and notification of their family. Tragically, on Monday, Charfauros also succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Guam Memorial Hospital.

The Guam Police Department is actively investigating the incident, and the case remains open. It is crucial to determine the circumstances that led to this fatal accident and to establish responsibility.
