“Two Arrested in Shooting of Spencer Trott; Victim in Stable Condition”

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Downeast Maine over the weekend, according to the Maine State Police. The incident took place at a residence on Stolt Road in Lamoine, and authorities were alerted by a 911 call reporting an altercation and gunshots.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies from the Hancock Sheriff’s Office found evidence supporting the caller’s report and launched a search for the individuals involved. The investigation led to the identification of two suspects, but no victim was initially found.

Later, another 911 call reported a man walking on Bayside Road in Ellsworth. The man, identified as 37-year-old Spencer Trott, had sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. While his injuries are serious, Trott is expected to recover.

Further investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Dimitry Dubrovsky from Bar Harbor and 30-year-old Duncan Hass from Lamoine. Both men have been charged with attempted murder and other crimes and are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

The motive behind the shooting has not been disclosed by the police. Lamoine is a small town with a population of less than 2,000 residents, located near the popular tourist destinations of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
